Congestion in Constanța port

Following the context of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, several measures were needed to deal with the resulting congestion. The biggest problem that the authorities had to manage was the passage of car traffic on railways. A number of 400 wagons were removed from the lines in the port. LCL import  is facing difficulties due to severe congestion created by high flow of import containers and goods not picked up on time.

It will take some time before business can return to normal, with a certain percentage of staff allowed to return from June 1. 

In the case of imports from the ocean , the warehouses are fully operational, but with large agglomerations.

For ocean exports , warehouses are fully operational. There are still problems with LCL trucks entering Shanghai.

Shanghai Yangshan  Terminal maintains normal functionality. 

Shanghai WaiGaoQiao  Terminal maintains normal operation with minor ship delays. 

In the customs chapter, the services remain unchanged, keeping their partial and limited operations in customs inspections.

Other major ports in China, such as Shenzhen, have been affected by the blockades. The war between Ukraine and Russia has led to an increase in the prices of goods and services, which has created difficulties for the logistics process.

According to the New York Federal Reserve's Global Supply Chain Pressure Index, which takes into account factors such as freight rates, delivery times and delays, supply chains are under unprecedented pressure, which has worsened recently.
